Thripoonithura N. Radhakrishnan has more than five decades of performing experience in Indian Classical music.
Tripoonithura N. Radhakrishnan lives in the royal city of Cochin, Kerala with his family. He started his music career with father Late. Sri. Thripoonithura G. Narayanaswamy (Mridanga Vidwan) who is also his first Guru.
Tripoonithura N. Radhakrishnan completed his Masters in Mridangam at M.G. University. Ganapraveena in Mridangam at S. S. T. Music College, Thiruvananthapuram. Ganabhooshanam in Mridangam at R L V College, Tripoonithura.
In 1997, he was awarded “Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Award” and “Vocational Excellence Award” by Rotary Club of Cochin East in 2007. He received “Meritorious Excellence Award” by Maharajapuram Santhanam Memorial in 2008 and Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Fellowship in 2020.
